EAT. was created sometime in
2006
to ride on the success of Fei Siong Group’s foray into the local noodles business.
EAT. was conceptualised as a “one -stop shop” food outlet serving local traditional fare like minced pork noodles with mushroom (“bak chor mee”), fishball noodles and laksa as well as finger food items like fishcake, chicken wings and many others together with beverages.
EAT. is primarily targeted at the mass crowd in suburban malls and city centre malls serving local traditional fare with nostalgic flavour and taste and at reasonable price. Once inside any EAT. outlet you will get to savour your favourite local traditional fare in a comfortable and cosy setting thereby greatly enhancing your dining experience at EAT.
Signature Handmade Dishes
Minced Meat Noodle
Teochew-style bak chor mee (minced meat noodles) tossed in a vinegar and soy sauce mix plus specially-made sambal, paired with soft minced pork, sliced lean pork, fishball, crispy pork lard, and topped with stewed mushrooms.
Laksa
Thick bee hoon in a mildly spicy broth made with creamy coconut milk and dried shrimp, complimented with ingredients like fresh cockles, fishcake, fried beancurd puffs and crispy beancurd rolls which absorb the fragrant broth.
Fishball Noodles
Well-seasoned egg noodles with a good texture, accompanied with flavourful hand-made Teochew fishballs and fishcake made with yellowtail fish.
Lor Mee
Flat yellow noodles in a thick gravy drizzled with fragrant vinegar and freshly minced garlic, topped with stewed pork belly, handmade ngoh hiang, beancurd roll with fish paste, and braised egg.
Satay Bee Hoon
Bee hoon covered in a tasty and mildly spicy peanut gravy (similar to satay sauce), along with pork slices, cuttlefish, cockles, kang kong and other ingredients.
Handmade Shrimp Dumpling Soup
Delicious handmade shrimp dumpling stuffed with a mix of minced pork and shrimp, in a piping hot savoury soup.
Handmade Fish Dumpling Soup
Silky fish dumpling packed with a pork and fish mixture, in a light soup that enhances its flavour.
Teochew Meatball Soup
A flavourful bowl of soup with tasty Teochew meatballs that give a firm bite and a burst of flavour.
Fishball Soup
Bouncy, flavourful fishballs made with yellowtail fish, in a light and comforting soup. Often garnished with fresh spring onions.
